Though the technology for governmental financial transparency exists, coordinating political know-how with tech expertise is a major problem. This is why Lincoln is supporting Open Data Initiative working to connect government officials with programmers and developers, helping make state financial checkbook data more consistent, transparent, and easily available.
Please join us as we discuss our work furthering governmental financial transparency. Sean Roberts will overview the current state of open data implementation in the US, ODI’s pilot program in partnership with California Policy Center and the Data Coalition, and how ODI plans to improve open data practices in 2018 and beyond.
