SEO Powersuite, an SEO software suite developed by Link-Assistant, offers an array of tools that give SEO specialists and marketers a unique, front-to-back experience in optimization of their content and websites. Nevertheless, the real nuts and bolts of this platform, though useful, are at times questionable for the individual prices.
A “suite” for work
To fully understand the abilities of the SEO Powersuite, we need to keep in mind that the platform is a “suite” for work with four different applications.
Rank Tracker is a tool used to track the performance of keywords through reports, location-specific keyword tracking, and custom content tracking. Website Auditor can allow you to run audits on your entire website and identify SEO problems, including broken links, video, photos, 404 errors, and W3C validation errors. SEO Spyglass is an application that allows users to identify backlinking on almost any website. Featuring an analytics tool, Spyglass enables you to detect content that’s been keyword stuffed, for example, and clean up any malignant issues among your links that could result in a penalty in Google or Bing. Plus, you can “spy” on your competitors’ links so you can run their strategies against yours. Link Assistant is an application that gives you some tools to promote high-quality linking, including curated lists of potential prospects for content sharing and linking.
All four apps make up the entire SEO Powersuite bundle. Used together, the applications have been known to perform well; however, users can choose to use one tool instead of all four.
As an entire software bundle, SEO Powersuite is well received by its users; however, there are a few setbacks that are worth mentioning.
First, the free version has specific features, like saving projects, are reserved for paying subscribers. While it’s “always free,” it’s usefulness is limited due to the inability to compare campaigns over time. Users may benefit more from a full-featured trial period instead.
You should also consider that even though the software integrates with several cloud-based services, it doesn’t migrate to other devices without additional licenses. This means that work you do on one device sticks exclusively to that device– nowhere else.
SEO Powersuite offers three editions of the full software bundle: Free, professional at $299 and enterprise at $699. But, like mentioned above, you can purchase the tools separately. Individually, the tools are worth $124.75 for the professional versions and $299.75 for the enterprise versions. You do, unfortunately, have to pay for search algorithm updates, though this is optional.
SEO Powersuite is a quality and affordable tool. However, the pricing structures and the recurring costs for additional services could make the suite cumbersome.
Individual applications, also, are expensive for their standalone capabilities; however, it’s beneficial that you can choose which tools work best for you without being tied to an entire bundled suite of software.
