Koch-affiliated i360, a technology firm that has built door-to-door walking ecosystems, has released a new and improved version of their Call and Text platforms. Both of these platforms are mobile-oriented telephony and SMS texting methods for advocacy and candidate campaigns.
The i360 ecosystem
Telegraph has previously reviewed i360 Walk, the company’s door knocking application for canvassing and voter sampling. However, the Call and Text platforms are independent compliments to the overall ecosystem.
The mobile and desktop applications for i360 Call provides campaign users a variety of options for polling and voter outreach. In the mobile application, for example, campaigns can coordinate phone banking efforts remotely. Volunteers and campaign staffers can download the mobile app on their phone and call from just about anywhere.
Coordinating results, conducting phone surveys in-app, and running back-end operations make Call an easily deployable solution. Keep in mind that learning how to use Call — and i360’s other applications — requires training and user experience.
Text (the high mark)
i360 Text is a “closed-loop” peer-to-peer messaging platform utilizing an SMS protocol to reach out to voters, serving as a do-it-yourself texting platform built for advocacy and campaigning. Text is available on desktop and mobile devices for on-site and remote use among campaign volunteers and staff. Considering the unity of the i360 ecosystem and Text’s closed-loop nature, voter files and databases can be accessed without additional data import or export through central control.
Simply put, users can create form-text messages and calls-to-action to engage voters directly on their mobile phones, allowing users to maximize their reach and results. Plus, i360 Text’s mobility and DIY approach reduce costs and challenge other automated SMS companies like Hustle.
Pricing and demos
Potential customers must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to observe the technology’s capability, a possible liability for campaigns and organizations considering their options. Pricing is determined on the needs of the client; average pricing is currently unavailable.
What we think
i360 Call and Text are quality additions to the company’s entire ecosystem, built on the same voter files and consumer databases enabling i360 Walk’s success. Just like Walk, Call and Text can be used interchangeably, serving as vital components to GOTV drives and fundraising initiatives. Despite the complex nature of the i360 ecosystem, proper training and experience can address most user issues.
